The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Lavrottes 1er Cru was showing just a little reduction on the nose when I tasted it from bottle, and this made the aromatics difficult to read. The palate is robust and concentrated, again, with plenty of confit-like fruit and a sweet finish that is just missing the essence of what you call "Pinoté".

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
